Apple Pound Cake
Serving Size : 12
Amount Measure Ingredient Preparation Method
1 1/2 Cups Oil
2 Cups Sugar
3 Cups Sifted Flour
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
2 Teaspoons Vanilla
3 Large Apples – peeled, cut small
1 Cup Chopped Pecans
1 Stick Butter
1/2 Cup Light Brown Sugar
2 Tablespoons Milk
Preheat oven to 325°. Grease and flour a tube or Bundt pan.
Combine oil, sugar, and eggs. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Add sifted flour, salt, soda, and vanilla. Fold in apples and pecans.
Bake for 2 hour and 15 minutes. Cool 20 minutes. Remove from pan and pour on hot sauce.
To prepare sauce, Bring butter, brown sugar and milk to a boil. Cook for 20 minutes. While hot, pour on cake.
