Swedish Apple Pie

1 (9") unbaked pie shell
1 can apple (or other) pie filling
1 cup flour
2/3 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter, softened or melted and cooled
1 egg slightly beaten
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (opt)


Pour canned filling into pie shell. Combine dry ingredients, and add softened butter and egg. Pour this on top of pie filling and sprinkle nuts on top, if desired.

Bake 350 approx. 45 minutes. Ice cream goes well with this one!
