Applesauce
4 lbs. McIntosh apples (about 16)
peeled & sliced
1 cup water
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
Put apples in a saucepan. Add water and cinnamon. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 min. or until apples are tender. Remove from heat, add sugar. Pour into a strainer and stir until it is all through.
I usually have to simmer it longer, I just keep checking it. Sometimes I don't strain it I just kind of mash it for chuncky sauce.
