Apricot Nectar Cake

1 stick of real butter, melted
1 Duncan Hines Butter Recipe Cake mix and ingredients required on box except water
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup apricot nectar instead of water

1 12/ cups confectioners’ sugar
1/3 cup apricot nectar

Mix the butter, cake mix and other ingredients, except water, and nectar as directed on the box.
Bake at 325 deg. about 40-45 min. Leave cake in pan. Glaze while still warm and in the pan.

It mixes better if nectar is warmed slightly in the microwave a few seconds. Let stand in pan several hours or overnight.

Notes: This cake can be very odd. Sometimes it rises to the top of the pan, and this will use almost all the glaze. Sometimes it falls, so be a little more sparing of the glaze or it may be too wet.
