Blackberry Glory Pie

1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell
3/4 to 1 cup sugar
1 (8 ounce) carton dairy sour cream
3 tablespoons all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 cups fresh blackberries (not frozen)
1/4 cup fine dry breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon butter or margarine melted


Prehat oven to 450 degrees.

Line bottom of a pastry lined 9 inch pie plate with a double
thickness of foil. Bake for 5 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 5 minutes more. Remove pie shell from oven and cool slightly.

Reduce oven temperature to 375 degrees.

Meanwhile, in small bowl, stir together 3/4 to 1 cup sugar, sour cream, flour and salt until combined. Set aside.

Place blackberries in prebaked pastry shell. Spread sour cream mixture evenly over berries.

In a small bowl, stir together breadcrumbs, 2 tablespoons sugar and melted butter or margarine. Sprinkle bread crumb mixture over on top of sour cream mixture. Cover edge of pie with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes more or until top of pie is golden and berry mixture bubbles slightly.
