Mandarin Orange Cake

Mandarin Cake

2 (11 ounce) cans mandarin oranges - do not drain
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cups chopped walnuts or pecans
3/4 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons butter or margarine

Combine first seven ingredients in mixer bowl, beat at low speed til well mixed. Pour into ungreased 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or til cake test done. Cool.

Pierce cake with fork. Combine brown sugar, milk and butter in small saucepan, bring to a boil stirring occasionally. Pour over cooled cake.
