Email from BH&G Diabetic Recipe
2 (8-ounce) cartons plain fat-free yogurt
2 ripe small bananas
1 cup sliced fresh strawberries or unsweetened frozen strawberries
1 cup fresh mixed berries, such as raspberries, blueberries, and/or blackberries or unsweetened frozen mixed berries
In a blender container, combine yogurt, bananas, and berries; cover and puree until nearly smooth. Makes 4 servings.
Nutrition facts per serving: 125 calories, 1 g total fat, 0 g saturated fat, 2 mg cholesterol, 88 mg sodium, 24 g carbohydrate, 3 g fiber, 7 g protein, 2% vitamin A, 52% vitamin C, 24% calcium, 3% iron, 1 diabetic exchange fruit, 1 diabetic exchange milk.
Note: I have also used fruit flavored yogurt as well as vanilla.
