Two Peach Pies

1 3/4 cups sugar
1/4 to 1/2 corn starch (mix with the sugar)
1 1/2 cups peach juice
pinch of salt
6 cups chopped canned peaches
3/4 of a stick butter or margarine
2 unbaked pie shells

Preheat oven to 435 degrees

Bring the first 4 ingredients to a boil, stirring constantly. Add 6 cups of chopped up canned peaches to the mixture in the pan. Put 3/4 stick of oleo in and bring to a boil while stirring. It should be thick but if you want it thicker, add a little more corn starch mixed in a little cold water. Let it cool down and then put in 2 unbaked pie shells.

Put water on the edges and then put the tops on and cut slits for heat to get out. Press down and cut to fit then trim off the extra dough. Rub milk over the top and place in the oven. Bake 15 minutes at 425 degrees then turn oven to 375 and bake 20 minutes longer.
