Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
Coating:
1/2 lb. chocolate candy coating
1 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
Dipper:
1 qt. strawberries, washed
In a 2 cup measure, combine coating ingredients. Microwave at 50% (Medium) for 3 to 4 1/2 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes, until coating can be stirred smooth.
Dip strawberries in chocolate, one at a time. Place on baking sheet lined with waxed paper. (If chocolate begins to set up during dipping, microwave on Medium for 1 minute intervals until chocolate returns to desired consistency.)
Refrigerate coated strawberries.
Total cooking time is 3 to 4 1/2 minutes.
