Chef Tells Goulash

Chef Tell's Goulash

Brown equal parts beef and onion in separate pans. Add bit of salt to onion, then add 2 Tblsp tomato paste and 2 Tblsp paprika to onion. Cook briefly so paprika doesn't "turn". Add 2 Cups water to this and bring to boil. Add meat.

Bring to boil again and add goulash spice. Let simmer 1 to 2 hours. Do not add thickeners as onions will thicken it.

Goulash Spice:
Lemon Rind
Bay Leaf
Thyme
Garlic
Caraway
Thyme

Put together and chop fine-fine-fine to blend.
