Broiled Honey-Glazed Pork Chops

1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 T. lemon juice
1 T. stone-ground mustard
2 t. cornstarch
1 t. dark sesame oil
1/4 t. fresh ground black pepper
2 garlic cloves -- minced OR 1 t. bottled garlic
4 (4 oz.) boneless center-cut loin pork chops -- trimmed (about 1/2 inch thick)


Combine first 8 ingredients in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 2 minutes or until thick. Reserve 1/4 cup; set aside

Preheat broiler.

Brush both sides of pork with half the remaining honey mixture. Place pork on a foil-lines broiler pan coated with cooking spray. Broil 8 minutes on each side until chops are done, basting chops with the other half of remaining pork mixture after 4 minutes. Serve pork with reserved 1/4 cup honey mixture.

4 servings:1 pork chop and 1 T. sauce (280 calories, 10 g. fat, 0.1 g. fiber)
