3 Pounds Brisket
1 Envelope Onion Soup Mix
16 Ounces Jellied Cranberry Sauce
Fresh Ground Pepper
1/2 Cup Water


Preheat oven to 325° F.

Place brisket in a large roasting pan. Pour the soup mix over meat.

Heat cranberry sauce to soften and spread on top of soup mix. Season with pepper to taste and pour the water into the pan around the sides of the beef. Cover the pan and bake for 3 hours, or until tender, stirring the sauce once or twice during roasting time to mix all of the ingredients.

Remove the brisket from the pan and place on serving platter. Cut into thick slices.

Skim fat and serve the gravy.
