Mom's Goulash

1-1/2 cup elbow macaroni
1 lb. ground beef, browned
2 (14 1/2 oz.)cans stewed tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 cup water
1 small onion, chopped
Green pepper, chopped (optional)
Salt and pepper


Cook elbow macaroni until done. Drain and place in large casserole dish or small roaster pan.

Add ground beef, tomatoes, tomato sauce, water and onion. Salt and pepper to taste.

Bake covered in 350° oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Stir occasionally. Add tomato juice or more tomato sauce if it seems too dry.
