Grilled Rib Eyes
5 Rib eye steaks
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup dry vermouth or dry white wine
Juice of 1 lemon and 1 lime
2 tbsp. fresh minced or grated ginger
2-3 tbsp. fresh minced garlic
1 tbsp. rice wine vinegar
1-2 tbsp. hot chili paste
2 tsp. toasted sesame oil
2 tsp. hoisin sauce
1 tsp. oyster sauce
2 tsp. hot chili oil
Salt, pepper, and season salt to taste.
Noodles (see recipe below)
Place all ingredients in a bag or other container and salt, pepper, and season salt meat and add to marinade. Marinate for 2 to 4 hours or overnight.
Remove meat out and pat dry. Reserve marinde.
Reseason meat and broil or grill to desired doneness.
Serve with:
Noodles
1 lb. soba noodles or fresh or dry fettucine
2 tsp. cornstarch
Marinade from Rib Eye Steaks above.
Cook noodles in salted boiling water until done. If using soba, rinse and dry after to remove excess starch.
Bring marinade to a boil and boil gently about 5 minutes to
intensify flavors.
Mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup water and add to marinade.
Return mixture to a boil and when thickened, add noodles and mix well.
