Litchfield Meat Loaf

2 lb. ground beef -- or turkey
2 cups evaporated milk -- or skimmed
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
4 potatoes -- sliced
4 carrots -- sliced
2 onions -- sliced


Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Mix all together except the potatoes, carrots and onions. Put in a 9x13 inch pan in center.

Around sides place the potatoes, carrots and onions. Cover pan and bake at 375°F for 1 hour. Uncover and bake for 10 minutes. When done, remove loaf from pan and place on platter.

Put vegetables around it. Let stand for a few moments before serving.
