Round Steak and Potatoes

1 lb. round steak, cut into serving pieces
3 - 4 baking potatoes, peeled and cut into quarters
1/4 cup flour
2 - 3 Tbl. oil (can use olive oil for more flavor)
Dried Italian seasoning, salt and pepper to taste
1/2 to 1 cup water


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Dredge steak in flour; sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Heat oil in skillet, add steak and brown lightly. Remove steak and place in large baking pan (sprayed with vegetable cooking spray for easier cleanup). Add the potatoes and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Dust the steak (and potatoes, if desired) with the Italian seasoning using however much you like. Add enough water to cover the bottom of the pan to about 1/2".

Cover tightly and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes to 1 hour. (this is more or less, depending upon the thickness of the steak).

Prep time is about 15 minutes.
