Salisbury Steak and Peppers
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 envelope onion soup mix, divided
1 egg
1/4 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tblsp. flour
1-1/2 cups water
1 large green pepper, cut in strips
1 small onion, sliced
Mix well the beef, 2 tablespoons soup mix, egg, bread crumbs and salt; shape in 4 oval patties. Set aside. In casserole, mix remaining soup mix and flour; stir in water. Add meat patties. Place pepper and onions around meat. Cover and bake at 350° F. for 30 minutes.
