Beef Stroganoff

Beef Stroganoff (adapted from Betty Crocker)
 
1 pound ground round (If using more fatty hamburger, drain
6 ounce can mushrooms, drained and chopped 
4 beef bouillion cubes 
2 cups water plus 1/2 cup cold water 
1/2 onion, minced 
1/4 cup catsup 
1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 
1/3 cup flour 
2 cups sour cream 
8-10 ounces uncooked any size flat or curly noodles 


Brown ground round in large skillet. Stir in mushrooms, bouillion cubes,
2 cups water,onion, catsup, and garlic powder. 

Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Blend 1/2 cup COLD water with 1/3 cup ,
whisking together till no lumps remain. Stir into meat mixture until 
mixture thickens a bit. Stir in sour cream. Heat throughly, without 
bringing to boil. 

Cook noodles. Serve topping over hot noodles. 
6-8 servings
