Taco Filling

2 lb. ground beef
16 oz. can crushed tomatoes
1 cup water
salt to taste
2 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, not garlic salt
3/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons cumin
1 tablespoon powdered chicken bouillon
1/2 small green pepper, chopped fine


Cook beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain grease. Add tomatoes. Cook over low heat 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Combine in jar or bowl 1 cup water and spices, stirring to dissolve bouillon. Add to meat mixture. Cook and stir 15 to 20 minutes, til liquid is absorbed. Add chopped green pepper and cook about 2 minutes.
