Category: Entrees, Beef, Meats, Grilled
Yield: 2 servings

1 tbsp. cooking oil
2 large beef tenderloin steaks - about 1/2 lb. each
salt, pepper, and paprika
3 tbsp. red wine
1/2 cup beef stock
3 tbsp. heavy cream
flavored seasoning (opt)

Season beef tenderloin steaks with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Heat oil in a large pan. Panfry steaks in oil over high heat - about 2-5 minutes on each side. Remove the meat, then deglaze pan with red wine. Reduce until liquid is halved.

Add the beef stock, simmer for 3 minutes. Stir in the cream. Season with some herb / spice mix if desired.

To serve: Arrange steaks on a serving plate, then pour the sauce over the steaks. Serve with mashed potatoes or noodles.
