Cuban Tamales
4 or 5 cloves garlic
1.5 onions
2 cups yellow cornmeal
1 can cream style corn
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups beef bouillon
0.5 can tomato sauce
Ham, pork or sausage
Put the yellow cornmeal in a pan and cover with the 2 cups of beef bouillon (add additional water if necessary so that all of the cornmeal is covered).
Chop the onion and garlic and saute them in a little oil until transparent. Add the tomato sauce, the ham, pork or sausage. To the cornmeal mixture add the cream style corn and cook over low heat until it is completely dry, stirring often.
Make folders with aluminum foil by folding the edges three times on each of the three sides so that water will not be able to enter. Fill these little aluminum folders with the combined meat/cornmeal mixtures and then fold the fourth side three times as well. Cook in a pressure cooker for approximately 20 minutes with enough water to cover them.
