Ham and Potatoes

1 stick salted butter
1 lb. green beans (broken)
2 lbs. Red potatoes, cut in quarters
1/2 lb ham, diced
Garlic, Salt, Pepper and Basil to taste


Melt half the stick of butter in a large skillet, add the diced ham and saute until the ham starts to brown. Add the green beans and saute a couple more minutes until the beans get a bright green color. Remove from the heat, add the potatoes and a little water, stir and crumble the rest of the butter on top. Cover and bake at 350 for about 40 minutes (or until the potatoes are almost done) remove the cover and bake for an additional five minutes.
