Pork Chops with Raisin Sauce

6 blade pork chops, 1/2-inch thick
2 Tbsp. oil
1 onion, chopped
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. water
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. vinegar
3 Tbsp. catsup
1/2 c. cold water
1/3 c. raisins
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 lemon, thinly sliced

In skillet over medium-high heat, brown pork chops in oil; add onion, bay leaf and salt.
Mix together 3/4 cup water, brown sugar, vinegar, catsup and raisins. Add to pork chops. Cover and simmer 30 minutes or until chops are tender. Remove chops to warm platter.
Skim excess fat from sauce in pan.

Mix 1/2 cup cold water with cornstarch until smooth; add to sauce. Cook and stir until gravy is clear and thickened. Serve over pork chops and garnish with lemon slices. Serves 4.
