Slow-Cooker Baby Back Ribs

1/4 cup Spicy Chili Rub
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
4 racks (1 lb. each) baby back ribs
1/4 cup favorite barbecue sauce or sweet and sour sauce

Spicy Chili Rub:
1 tbl. ground black pepper
1 tbl. ground white pepper
2 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 tbl. chili powder
2 tbl. ground cumin
2 tbl dark brown sugar
1 tbl. ground oregano
4 tbl. paprika
2 tbl salt
1 tbl. granulated sugar

Mix spice blend and store covered in the refrigerator.

For ribs: combine spicy blend and brown sugar; rub on ribs. Curl racks of ribs, meaty side out, standing upright on thick ends in 5-6 qt. Slow cooker. Cover and cook on Low for 7-8 hours, or on High for 3 to 3 1/2 hours, or until meat is very tender.

Remove ribs to cutting board. Let rest for 5 minutes and brush with barbecue or sweet and sour sauce.

Serves 4-6.
