Italian Sausage Sandwiches

1 1/2 pounds Italian sausages
Water
1 tsp. liquid smoke
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbl. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. dried chives
1 tsp. dried parsley
1 tsp. dried onions
1 sliced green, red or yellow bell pepper
Vienna rolls
Favorite toppings
Mozzarella cheese

Place sausages in a 2 quart saucepan and prick the casings then add just enough water to cover them. Add liquid smoke, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, dried chives, dried parsley, dried onions and 1 sliced green, red or yellow sweet pepper.

Cover and bring to a boil. Turn down the heat and simmer for about 20 minutes. Then let the sausages sit in the liquid for about 1/2 hour to 1 hour.

Put on Vienna rolls with your favorite toppings and lots of mozzarella cheese. You may also let them sit in the liquid overnight in the refrigerator, then skim any fat off the top and reheat the next day. Be sure to put the peppers on your sandwich.
