Emily's Mother in Law's Johnny Mousetti

My mother in law's favorite recipe

I would like to post a recipe as a tribute to my mother-in-law who recently
passed away on March 25, 1998. She was known for her passion for her 
Italian style cooking and the joy she felt in sharing her delicious recipes 
with others. This is one that she made often and liked to bring to get 
togethers. 

Johnny Mousetti 

1 lb. ground beef 
1/2 lb. sausage 
1 8oz. wide noodles 
1 large onion 
1 small can mushrooms,drained 
1 can tomato sauce 8 oz. 
1 can cream style corn 
1 can tomato soup 
salt and pepper to taste 
grated Italian cheese (parmesan cheese) 

Brown meats and onion, drain off grease. Cook noodles in salt water until
tender; drain, rinse and cool. Mix tomato soup and 1 can of water, tomato 
sauce, cream corn and mushrooms with noodles. Combine noodle mixture with 
meat; salt and pepper to taste. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Set for 1/2 hour 
before serving. Very good with a lettuce salad. This serves 10.
