Chili Rice Casserole

1 pint canned tomatoes (or 1 can stewed tomatoes)
1 (16 oz.) can red beans
1 cup Minute rice
1 lb. hamburger
1/2 large onion, chopped
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can tomato soup
chili powder
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce


Put tomatoes, beans soup and onion in crock pot on low heat. Soak rice in 1-1/2 cup hot water. Let sit until water is almost completely absorbed. Dump into crock pot. Add can of tomato sauce. Brown hamburger, salt and pepper lightly.

Add to crock pot. Add chili powder to taste. Cook on low heat for several hours or on high for a couple of hours. The longer it cooks the better it tastes. If it seems too thick add more tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes or tomato juice.
