Mexican Stuffed Shells

1 lb. ground beef
12 oz. jar salsa
1/2 cup water
8 oz. can tomato sauce
4 oz. can green chilies
6 oz. shredded Monterey Jack cheese or Mexican blend cheese
3 oz. can French's French fried onions
14 large pasta shells, cooked and drained
sour cream


Brown beef in skillet; drain fat.

Combine salsa, water, and tomato sauce in bowl; mix well. Add 1/2 cup mixture to ground beef. Stir in chilies, half of cheese, and half of onions.

Pour half of remaining tomato mixture in 8x12 inch baking dish.

Stuff cooked shells with ground beef mixture and arrange in baking dish. Pour remaining tomato mixture over shells.

Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Top with remaining cheese and onions. Bake, uncovered, for 5 minutes longer. Serve with sour cream.
