Recipe for All purpose Mix for Biscuits, Waffles, Pancakes, etc.
9 cups sifted flour
1/3 cup baking powder
4 teas. salt
2 1/2 teas. cream of tartar
2 cups shortening
Sift together dry ingredients and cut in shortening until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Refrigerate in a closed container. To use, remove 2 cups of mixture and add enough milk to make dough or batter.
