Pocket Stew
1/4 lb. Hamburger per packet
1 potato per packet
1 carrot per packet
Just use 1/4 lb. hamburger for each packet. Thinly slice 1 potato and cut 1 carrot into sticks. Place side by side on heavy duty foil, add salt and pepper and seal with a drugstore fold. cook on hot coals 10 to 20 minutes.
This will taste a whole lot better if you either sprinkle or mix in a packet of onion soup mix for each pound of meat.
Another good foil camp dish is sliced zucchini, diced tomatoes, sliced green onions and either diced bacon or a pat of butter. Season to taste and seal cook about 20 minutes.
