Grilled Deviled Chicken
Source: Crisco's Flavor Makers Cookbook
1/4 cup catsup
1/4 cup oil
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. lemon pepper seasoning
1/2 tsp. ground oregano
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/8 tsp. cayenne
2 1/2 to 3 lb. broiler-fryer chicken, cut up
Combine all ingredients, except chicken, and mix well.
Place chicken on grill.
Turning frequently, grill for 45 to 60 minutes, until juices run clear and meat near bone is no longer pink.
During last 15 minutes of grilling, brush with sauce, frequently.
Yield: 4 servings.
