Pasta with Toasted Bread Crumbs

1 cup freshly made bread crumbs
2 tblsps butter
2 tblsps olive oil

sauce:
3/4 c olive oil
3-6 cloves crused garlic
1/4 c butter
1/2 c dry white wine
2 tblsps fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
salt & pepper to taste
3-4 fresh basil leaves, julienned


Melt 2 tablespoons oil and 2 tablespoons butter in saucepan and toast breadcrumbs to a light golden color. Be careful not to have the heat too high, they have a tendency to burn quickly once they go past the golden stage.

Heat oil over med heat and saute garlic for about a minute, add remaining ingredients (except basil) and bring to a quick boil and then reduce heat, let simmer for 15 minutes. Taste, adjust seasonings if necessary and then add basil.

Pour this right over 1lb of linguine with the toasted bread crumbs and mix it well.
