Penne Pasta with Tomato Sauce and Vodka
2 packages of Knorr Parma Rosa Sauce Mix
2 c. half and half
1/2 c. vodka
2 T. butter or oleo
2 diced tomatoes
3 T. chopped fresh basil
16 oz. pkg of penne pasta
Parmesan cheese for topping when serving.
In a medium saucepan whisk together sauce mix, half and half, and butter. Stir until thick and add vodka and fresh tomatoes. Simmer 10 minutes. Add fresh chopped basil.
Cook penne pasta until done and place in a large pasta bowl. Pour sauce over top. Mix well and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Serves 6.
