Spaghetti Sauce

Ann's Spaghetti Sauce

1 1/2 pound ground steak or very lean ground beef
2 chopped onions
4 + cloves garlic, minced
1 green pepper, chopped
1 (28 oz.) large can undrained diced tomatoes
4 cans tomato paste (8 ounce): Rinse all cans with a very small amount of water
1 tsp. each oregano and basil
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper.
3 Tbl. good chili powder


Brown beef in 1 Tbl. oil until brown and crisp (for flavor). Add vegetables and cook briefly. Add the rest and Simmer uncovered 1 1/2 -2 hours (need more liquid, add water or V-8 juice).

Serve over spaghetti or linguini. Top with grated parmesan cheese.
