Spaghetti Sauce

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 can (29 oz.) tomato puree
1 can (29 oz.) tomato sauce
1 can (15 oz.) diced tomatos (optional)
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 small onion -- finely chopped
4 cloves garlic -- minced
1 tablespoon dry basil
1 tablespoon parsley flakes
3 tablespoons sugar
salt and pepper to taste
Saute onion and garlic until translucent. Add tomato sauce and puree and then remaining ingredients. Cook approximately one hour, adjusting seasonings to taste. Should serve four twice.
NOTES : Use a garlic press if you have one instead of mincing.
