Nancy's Spaghetti Sauce
3/4 cup olive oil
8 cloves garlic, cruched
4 pounds ground Beef Top Round
2 large, diced onions
2 cups celery, chopped
1 green bell pepper, diced
1/4 cup flour
1 pound mushrooms
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon bitters
2 tablespoons sugar
3 cups dry red wine
2 1/2 tablespoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon bay leaves, crushed
1/4 cup butter
2 (6 1/2 oz.) can tomato paste
2 (15 oz.) can Italian tomatoes
Saute garlic, onions, in olive oil.
Add green pepper, celery until tender.
Brown ground beef.
Saute mushrooms in butter.
Combine rest of ingredients in a large pot and simmer for at least 1 hour.
