Black Pepper Vermicelli

1/2 cup water
dash olive oil
1 egg -- beaten
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour -- unbleached
dash salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper -- up to 1 tsp.
1/2 (26 oz.) jar favorite pasta sauce


In measuring cup that came with pasta machine, pour flour up to mark that says "Half Load Flour", or 1-1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, salt and pepper. Pour it into top of machine.

Mix egg, water and oil in measuring cup, up to "Half Load Water", or 1/2 cup water and a touch more (1 Tbsp).

Turn MIX on and pour liquid in slowly until pasta dough looks like tiny pea-size balls.

Follow manufacturer's instructions to extrude pasta.

Cook pasta as directed.

Combine with favorite sauce and sprinkle with parmesan cheese to serve.
