Chocolate Peppermint Pie

1 OreoŽ cookie crust
1 quart chocolate-chocolate chip ice cream, softened
1 pkg. (6 ounces) chocolate-covered peppermint candies
1 cup whipping cream, 'divided'
Spoon softened ice cream into crust then freeze until firm, about 2 hours.
In a small saucepan, heat peppermints with 3-4 Tablespoons whipping cream; stir until smooth. Cool.
Whip the remaining cream, then spoon over ice cream. Drizzle with some of the chocolate-peppermint sauce.
Serve remaining peppermint sauce with pie.
