Fudge Pie

3/4 cup butter
3 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
1-1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs, well-beaten
3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup pecans, chopped (if desired)


Preheat oven to 350 °F. Melt butter and chocolate in pie pan in oven.

Combine other ingredients, then pour into pie pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.

Cool on rack. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream atop each slice.
