Fudge Pie

3/4 cup butter
3 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
1-1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs, well-beaten
3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup pecans, chopped (if desired)


Preheat oven to 350 F. Melt butter and chocolate in pie pan in oven.

Combine other ingredients, then pour into pie pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.

Cool on rack. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream atop each slice.
