Hershey Bar Pie (Microwave recipe)
source: Ideals Hershey's Chocolate and Cocoa Cookbook

chocolate cookie crust ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 cups unsifted flour
1/2 cup Hershey's cocoa
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

pie ingredients:
1 1/2 lb. Hershey's Milk Chocolate bar
1/3 cup milk
1 1/2 c upsminiature marshmallows
1 cup heavy cream

Prepare crust: Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, beating well.

In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients, then add to creamed mixture. Shape into 1 1/2 inch thick rolls. Wrap in waxed paper and plastic wrap; chill several hours or overnight.

Cut one of the rolls into 1/8 inch slices; arrange with edges barely touching on bottom and sides of a greased 9 inch glass pie plate. Microwave on medium (1/2 power)** (see note below) for 5 to 6 minutes, turning pie plate 1/4 turn every 2 minutes of cooking time.

Pie: Break chocolate bar into pieces; place in a glass bowl. Add milk and marshmallows. Microwave on high at full power until chocolate and marshmallows are melted and mixture is thick and smooth, about 3 to 4 minutes** (**see note below). Cool.

Whip cream until stiff; fold into cooled chocolate mixture. Spoon into crust and chill.

**This recipe is from a 1987 cookbook when microwaves were not as powerful. I would suggest watching this closely, so it does not overcook the crust or the chocolate filling mixture.
