John's Cranberry Nut Pie

2 cup fresh cranberries
1/2 cup almonds or walnuts, chopped
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup margarine, melted
2 eggs
2 tsp. almond extract


Preheat oven to 325° F.

Mix cranberries, nuts and 1/2 cup sugar. Spread this in bottom of greased 10-inch pie plate; set aside.

Mix together flour, sugar, eggs and almond extract. Pour over cranberry mixture.

Bake for 55 to 60 minutes in preheated oven at 325 degrees.

If you wish to keep for later use, freeze pie in plate.

When served, top with whipped topping or ice cream or just plain.
