French Silk Dessert
Crust:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 lb soft butter
Preheat oven to 400° F.
Mix together and pat into a 13x9 pan. Bake 15 minutes at 400 or until lightly browned. Remove from oven, mix again, then pat down and let cool.
Filling:
1/2 lb butter, softened
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla
3 squares (1 oz each) unsweetened chocolate, melted
4 eggs
2 cup whipped cream or topping
chocolate shavings, optional
Cream together the sugar and butter. Add vanilla and melted chocolate. One at a time, beat in the eggs, beating 5 minutes between each egg - absolutly must do this.
Pour over cooled crust and freeze for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove and spread on whipped cream or topping. Top with chocolate shavings if desired. Freeze until time to serve.
