One part flour, half of that amount for shortening and half of the shortening amount is ice water.

For instance:

Two cups flour, 1 cup shortening, 1/2 cup water and 1 tsp salt. This always works for me. If you use a smaller batch cut down a little on the salt, if bigger, add more.
