Crust: Pie Crust by Queen Bee

Pie Crust

2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup shortening
ice cold water


In a large mixing bowl measure the flour and shortening. Cut the shortening into the flour with a pastry blender or two knives in a scissors fashion (one knife crossing over the other)until it is the consistency of cornmeal (very small pieces of shortening).

Sprinkle ice water evenly over the mixture and blend together until the dough holds together (be careful here it can get sticky if too much water is added).

Roll out on a lightly floured board.Makes 2 9" crusts good for one covered pie or two open ones (obviously, chuckle)
