Holiday Eggnog Custard Pie

1 (15-oz) Pie Crust
1 Egg -- Beaten
For Filling:
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 1/2 Cups Eggnog
4 Eggs
Fresh Grated Nutmeg
Heat oven to 425.
Prepare 1 pie crust as directed on package for one crust filled pie using 9 inch pie pan. Do not prick crust.
Bake for 7 -9 minutes. Remove from oven and reduce to 350.
In large bowl, combine sugar, eggnog, and eggs; blend well.
For a smooth custard pour through a fine strainer as you pour into crust. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until almost set. The custard will continue
to set while cooling. Cover edges with foil after 15 to 20 minutes to prevent burning. Cool completely and refrigerate.
