Pecan Pie Filling

100 grams unsalted butter
100 grams crushed pecans
1 egg
1/2 decilitres sugar
1 decilitre golden syrup
pinch of salt


Preheat oven 425F/220C. Combine the ingredients, except egg in a skillet, bring to boil over medium heat. Mix egg in a separate cup, add a large spoonful of still-warm syrup mixture and mix well. Add the egg mixture into the rest. Pour into the crust, and bake in the oven 425F/220C for 10 minutes. Serve lukewarm with vanilla ice cream.
