Margarita Frozen Party Pie

Makes 1 -9-inch pie

1-1/2 cups crushed pretzels
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup Tequila
4 Tblsp. Triple Sec liqueur
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, chopped
2 cups whipped cream
food coloring


Mix crushed pretzels, margarine, and sugar. Press into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan.

In a bowl mix Tequila, Triple Sec, condensed milk, and lime. Pour half of the mixture in another bowl.

Add strawberries and a few drops of red food coloring to one half. Fold in 1 cup whipped cream. To other half, add only a drop or two of yellow food coloring and 1 cup whipped cream.

Spoon into crust, alternating colors. Freeze for 4 hours or overnight.



Margarita Pie

1-1/4 cups finely crushed pretzels
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 limes
1/4 cup orange juice
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (8 ounce) container nondairy whipped topping


Combine crushed pretzels, melted butter or margarine, and sugar. Press mixture into a pie pan. Zest and juice both limes.

Mix together lime juice and zest, orange juice, and condensed milk. Fold in whipped topping. Spoon filling into pretzel crust.

Chill pie for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve. Makes 1 - 9 inch pie.
