Libby's Famous Pumpkin Pie
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground cloves
2 eggs
1 (15oz) Libby's 100% Pure Pumpkin®
1 can (12oz) Nestle Carnation® evaporated milk
1 (9 inch) Mrs Smith's Deep Dish Pie Crust®
Preheat oven to 425° F.
Mix sugar, cinnamon, salt, ginger, and cloves in small bowl.
Beat eggs in large bowl.
Stir in pumpkin and sugar-spice mixture. Gradually stir in evaporated milk. Pour into pie crust.
Bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350, bake 40-50 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.
Cool on a wire rack for 2 hours.
Makes 8 servings.
Note: for two shallow pies substitute two Mrs. Smiths regular (9-in) pie crusts.
Bake in a 425 oven for 15 minutes and reduce heat to 350 for 20-30 minutes, or test done.
