Strawberry Bavarian Pie   

1 9" baked piecrust 
1 envelope unflavored gelatin 
1/8 tsp salt 
sugar 
3 eggs, seperated 
1 1/4 cp milk 
1 tsp vanilla extract 
1/2 cup heavy cream, whipped 
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg 
1 cup sliced strawberries 
whole berries for garnish (optional) 


Into 1 qt saucepan, measure gelatin, salt and 1/4 cup sugar and stir 
thoroughly until well mixed. 

In small bowl beat egg yolks with milk until mixed, then stir into 
gelatin mixture. 

Cook over med-low heat,stirring, until mixture is thickened and coats 
spoon. Remove from heat and stir in spoon

Refrigerate until mixture mounds when dropped from spoon, about 40 min. 
Beat until smooth. 

In large bowl with mixer at high speed, beat egg whites into soft peaks; 
gradually sprinkle in 1/4 cp sugar; beat until sugar is dissolved. 

Fold whiped cream and gelatin mixture into beaten egg whites. Spoon into
crust; sprinkle with nutmeg. chill. 



Strawberry Ribbon Pie

1 (9") baked pie crust 
1 (3 oz) package strawberry flavored gelatin 
1/4 cup sugar 
1 1/4 cup boiling water 
1 (10 oz) package frozen strawberries 
1 Tblsp lemon juice 
1 (3 oz) package cream cheese, softened 
1/3 cup powdered sugar 
1 tsp vanilla extract 
1/8 tsp salt 
1 cup heavy cream 
whole berries for garnish (optional) 


In medium bowl, stir gelatin and sugar with boiling water until gelatin 
and sugar are dissolved; add frozen berries and lemon juice. Stir until 
berries are thawed. Cover and refrigerate, stirring frequently, until 
mixture thickens. 

In small bowl with wire whisk, mix cream cheese with powdered sugar, 
vanilla extract and salt until smooth. 

In another small bowl beat heavy cream into soft peaks; then gradually 
fold cream cheese mixture into cream. 

Spread half to the whipped cream mixture in the prpared pel\iecrust then 
spoon half of berry mixture over it.Repeat with rest of cream mixture and 
berries. Refrigerate until set then garnish with whole berries and/or
whipped cream.
