Sweet Potato Pie with Pecans

1 1/2 cups mashed sweet potatoes
2/3 cup dark syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. allspice
2 eggs, beaten
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 cup rich milk
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Pecan halves

Preheat oven to 450.

Mix all ingredients except pie shell and put mixture into unbaked pie shell.

Bake in preheated oven at 450 degrees for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake 30 minutes longer.

Remove and decorate with pecans.
